Diagnostic Varicose & Spider Vein Care at Our Nearby Allen Park Office

A Nearby Vein Specialist Option for Dearborn Patients

Dearborn residents have many healthcare choices, but specialized vein care is only a short drive away in Allen Park. Taylor Vein Solutions is approximately 5 to 8 miles from much of the city, and patients in the 48120, 48124, 48126, and 48128 ZIP code areas commonly reach the office in 10 to 15 minutes. The close distance is useful when treatment involves imaging, a procedure, and follow-up rather than a single visit.

Dr. Ganesh Ramaswami brings surgical, academic, and vascular imaging experience to each evaluation. He is a board-certified surgeon, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, holds a PhD from the University of London, and is credentialed as an RVT and RPVI. Instead of recommending treatment from appearance alone, he uses symptoms and duplex ultrasound findings to determine whether reflux is present.

A same-day ultrasound is often available when medically appropriate. The Allen Park clinic accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and many HMO plans, and provides free benefits verification. Patients can understand the diagnosis, coverage requirements, and available medical or cosmetic options before scheduling care.

Vein Health Concerns in Dearborn

Vein Health Concerns in Dearborn

Varicose veins are common, and the most visible vein is not always the main medical problem. Research indexed by the National Library of Medicine estimates that approximately 24% of adults have visible varicose veins, while about 6% have advanced chronic venous disease.

Dearborn has an estimated adult population of roughly 75,300 residents. Applying these national estimates suggests that approximately 18,100 local adults may have visible varicose veins, while about 4,520 could be affected by a more advanced venous condition.

Leg heaviness, ankle swelling, aching, nighttime cramps, itching, restless legs, discoloration, or slow-healing wounds may indicate more than a cosmetic concern. Symptoms that become worse after work, travel, or long periods on your feet deserve attention.

Duplex ultrasound can examine blood flow, identify damaged valves, and help the provider determine whether monitoring, compression, or a minimally invasive treatment is appropriate.

Care That Fits Dearborn’s Work, Family, and Community Life

Many vein procedures take 15 to 45 minutes, and most patients return to normal routines quickly. A nearby outpatient clinic can make it easier to receive treatment without giving up the Dearborn places and activities that matter:

  • Walk along the Rouge River, use the athletic fields, or plan a family outing at Ford Field Park.
  • Use the walking track, courts, pool, and open space at Levagood Park.
  • Attend a performance, fitness class, or community program at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
  • Explore The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation or spend a day at Greenfield Village.
  • Visit one of Dearborn’s PEACE Parks, downtown gathering spaces, or neighborhood walking paths.

When swelling or aching starts affecting a workday, a walk, or time with family, an evaluation can clarify whether a vein condition is involved. Schedule a consultation at the Allen Park clinic.

Clear Diagnosis Before Vein Treatment Begins

Similar symptoms can have different causes, which is why Taylor Vein Solutions begins with a detailed history and ultrasound when indicated. Surface spider veins may be cosmetic, while swelling, heaviness, or bulging veins can be connected to a larger vein with faulty valves. Mapping the blood flow helps the provider decide what actually needs treatment.

Radiofrequency ablation closes refluxing veins with controlled heat, while VenaSeal uses a medical adhesive without thermal energy. Foam-based therapy can reach larger or twisting veins, and compounded sclerotherapy or laser treatment addresses smaller surface vessels. Microphlebectomy removes prominent veins through tiny openings.

Some patients need one targeted procedure, while others need staged care. When medical reflux and cosmetic veins are both present, the circulation problem is generally addressed first. Procedure time, recovery, compression guidance, and insurance requirements are reviewed before treatment.

Dearborn patients can reach the Allen Park clinic in minutes for evaluation, treatment, and follow-up. Call or schedule online to receive a recommendation based on your symptoms and ultrasound findings.

Trusted by Patients in Dearborn & Michigan

I was impressed with my first visit with Taylor Vein Solutions. I was able to complete my new patient paperwork at home which I appreciate. When I arrived, I was immediately taken into an exam room. Dr. Ramaswami came in and discussed my case and ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech was very kind and thorough. Dr. Ramaswami explained my treatment plan in great detail. I feel I made a great decision by making an appointment with Taylor Vein Solutions. Everyone made me feel at ease. I have since had multiple procedures done at Taylor Vein Solutions, and this practice is exceptional! They treat you like family. Dr. Ramaswami is the very best! I highly recommend.
Stop listening to the lies from your Dr. And RUN to Dr. Ramaswami and the Staff of Taylor Vein Solutions!!! I had been complaining of a swollen leg, tingleness and numbness, leg pain, and poor circulation for at least 3yrs to my Doctor. They would always shrug it off, blame it on the weather, up my water pills or throw me on Lasix, and tell me to continue wearing my compression socks. (Which I have a pretty extensive collection of, if that tells you anything.) I had been dealing with this for a long time. At my last Dr's appt, I of course saw yet another P.A. who actually took the 2secs to look at my legs and noticed some varicose veins. What?!.. She wrote me up a referral to a Vascular Dr., and I went searching. Online I stumbled into Taylor Vein Solutions that got me in right away for an ultrasound. They were soo kind and willing to work with my teaching schedule. The Ultrasound determined that I should have been in there years ago, and Dr. Ramaswami and Staff went to work. I loved Taylor Vein Solutions because they educated me throughout the process, all of my questions got answers, I got great literature on what to expect, and I could finally for once, see the light at the end of the tunnel. We ended up doing one leg the first day, and the other leg the next. The procedure was nothing. Dr. Ramaswami and staff talked to me throughout the whole process. The first night, with the first leg I was pushing off the covers, and the next day, with the last procedure, I instantly felt the blood rushing back to my once numb toes!!! My snow white toe nail bed due to poor circulation, is now pink again. I am completely in awe!!! I get to go back in at the end of the week to get the last leg checked to make sure everything is fine, etc. Dr. RAMASWAMI and Staff, a huge THANK YOU for saving my life, taking the time out with me, and putting me first. I will be shouting out your praises, and steering everyone your direction. I praise God for guiding me your way! 🙏 ❤️ God bless you all, and Merry Xmas! Jayme Anderson

The staff were genuinely kind and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. It’s clear they care about their patients and run a well-managed practice. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality vein care.
Very nice staff. The girls in front were always call me the day before and called me the morning of the procedure to remind me of my appointment. I love that because I always forget what time I was supposed to be there. So when they called me in the morning, I knew when to get there, they are so great. So pleasant, very nice, the whole staff, even the doctor did such a wonderful job of doing everything he could do. He always touched on me. Make sure everything was good. Thank you. Everybody love you all. Thank you for the great work😄

When I first walked into this clinic a little over a year ago, I kind of knew I was in good hands. Dr Ramaswami and his staff are the absolute best. I felt very calm and confident in the Dr’s work. He is truly remarkable. I went in for leg heaviness, swelling, tiredness, etc. after my procedures and follow up appts I am happy to say I feel better than ever. I’m 54 and these legs feel like 30y/o legs. I’m able to do a lot more than I was. Thank you so much Dr Ramaswami.
Dr. Ramaswami and his team provide an amazing care. Dr. Ramaswami is an excellent physician in his field. He takes his time and explains in detail what is going on and what steps he intents to take. Both he and his team are very friendly and, what strikes me most, always in good spirits. I feel I am in very good hands at this practice and can highly recommend Vein Solutions. Thank you all for everything you have done - and will continue to do - for me.

Amazing staff!! Dr. Ramashwami was able to fix the veins in my legs that were troubled. Fast procedures..very accommodating! I'd give Dr. Ramashwami and his staff more than 5 stars if it were possible! Thank you!!
As a new patient I was a little anxious. I was very comfortable after meeting the Doctor and his team. They all took their time to make sure that I was comfortable and all of my questions were answered. I am completely confident with this office and will happily refer family and friends to this practice. Update; surgery is complete on both legs. I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire team at Taylor Vein Solutions was top notch.

Dearborn Vein Treatment Questions

How far is the Allen Park clinic from Dearborn?

The clinic is approximately 5 to 8 miles from most parts of Dearborn. Typical travel time is about 10 to 15 minutes using M-39, I-94, Outer Drive, Southfield Road, or Allen Road.

Why is an ultrasound important before treatment?

The ultrasound shows the direction of blood flow and identifies valves that are allowing blood to move backward. It helps distinguish an isolated surface vein from a larger circulation problem that may require medical treatment.

Does Taylor Vein Solutions accept Medicare and Medicaid?

Yes. The clinic accepts Medicare, Medicaid, many HMO plans, and most major insurance carriers. Coverage depends on the plan and whether the condition meets medical-necessity requirements.

Which procedure is best for varicose veins?

The best option depends on vein size, location, anatomy, symptoms, and ultrasound findings. Radiofrequency ablation, VenaSeal, foam therapy, sclerotherapy, laser treatment, and microphlebectomy serve different purposes.

Are spider vein treatments usually covered?

Spider vein treatment is generally cosmetic when there are no symptoms or underlying reflux, so it is often self-pay. If ultrasound shows a medical vein condition, coverage may differ.

How soon can I return to work?

Many patients return to work and routine activities the same day. Microphlebectomy may require 24 to 48 hours of lighter activity, and strenuous jobs may need temporary restrictions.

Why do my legs swell more at the end of the day?

With venous reflux, damaged valves allow blood to collect in the lower legs, so pressure and swelling can build as the day continues. Because swelling has other possible causes, an examination and ultrasound are needed.

Do I need a referral?

Many patients can schedule directly, although some HMO or insurance plans require a primary-care referral. The office can verify the requirement before your visit.
